The Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week – Former Benedictine Cadet & Now Savannah Bananas Baseball Player Mike Huggins 06.17.17
Mike Huggins - Junior Georgia State University Baseball/Savannah Bananas INF
Huggins is known as a versatile baseball player. The former Benedictine Military School, Darton College standout, and now Georgia State baseball player added that characteristic to the Savannah Bananas Squad to start the Coastal Plain season this summer. As of right now Mikey as he is known around town is on a temporary contract with the Bananas. "He is a scrappy ballplayer," said Bananas Coach Sean West. "He does a lot of the little things right, and that's why we invited him to start out the season."
Mikey is looking forward to doing whatever it takes to play in front of his family and friends as he stated on The Karl DeMasi Sports Report on June 17th. Listen to Huggin's interview. He is a humble young man but on the field, he is a fierce competitor, and wants to do whatever it takes to stay on the squad. That's why he is the Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week for June 17, 2017. Good-Luck Mikey and Savannah looks forward to seeing you grace the field of Historic Grayson Stadium all summer long and GO BANANAS!
