
The “Coach” Karl DeMasi has been teaching and coaching for the past 35 years on all levels of academia and athletics. One of his hobbies has been writing, announcing and talking about sports. DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine “The Prep Sports Report” in 2000. In 2010, the “Coach” started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. The show can be heard “LIVE” every Saturday from 9 AM until 11 AM live. Sara Daniels, Calvary Day School, Volleyball
Sara, a 6’1 senior middle blocker/outside hitter at Calvary Day School, had 83 kills, 19 blocks, and 27 digs in the first 14 matches of the 2017 volleyball season. Daniels is one of the reasons why the two-time defending state Class A Champions are off to an undefeated season. The winning streak is at 15.
Furthermore, Sara has been an outstanding player for the last two seasons. As a junior Daniels made the 2016 First Team Savannah Morning News All-Greater Savannah Volleyball Team, a GHSA all-state and all region player and has committed to play DI Volleyball at St. Louis University. Statisitcs for her junior season, 69 blocks; 45 aces and 230 kills. Sara was the Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week for September 2, 2017.
