
The “Coach” Karl DeMasi has been teaching and coaching for the past 35 years on all levels of academia and athletics. One of his hobbies has been writing, announcing and talking about sports. DeMasi has been involved in the Savannah Area sports scene since 1995, and he created the high school magazine “The Prep Sports Report” in 2000. In 2010, the “Coach” started broadcasting The Karl DeMasi Sports Report. The show can be heard “LIVE” every Saturday from 9 AM until 11 AM live. The Wetherington Chiropractic Clinic Athlete of the Week – South Effingham High School Tennis Player Logan Edwards 4.29.2017
Logan, a senior tennis player at South Effingham High School, this season compiled a 17– 2 record. As a four starter for the Mustangs, Edwards accrued a 62-13 record in singles play. Furthermore, Logan has tournament experience and played US Junior tennis according to South Effingham High School Head Coach Kristen Finlen. “She has been to the state playoffs all four years with going to the Elite 8 2014 and 2017,” said Finlen “She has been a key player on our team and made our team strong and deep.”
Additionally, the Mustangs Girl’s Tennis team captured the 3 AAAAA Region Title again and made a deep run in the Georgia High School State Association State playoffs. Logan plans on attending college and continuing her tennis career.
